PortReflector is designed to accept TCP connections on a configured port and reflect them to another host or port number.
Sample configurations:
Remote Desktop Connection
Redirecting traffic to a non standard Terminal Server Port:
1.From the PortReflector's main screen, click Add
2.In Port: Enter:3389 (RDC client expects 3389)
3.Out Server: Enter theTerminal Server address
4.Out Port: Enter port Terminal Server is listening to
5.Click Save
SMTP
Redirecting traffic from your port 25 to another server's port 25:
1.From the PortReflector's main screen, click Add
2.In Port: Enter: 25
3.Out Server: Enter the SMTP server (i.e. mail.earthlink.net)
4.Out Port: Enter SMTP server's port (most likely 25)
5.Click Save
POP
Redirecting traffic from port 10110 to port 110:
1.From the PortReflector's main screen, click Add
2.In Port: Enter: 10110
3.Out Server: Enter the POP email server (i.e. mail.earthlink.net)
4.Out Port: Enter the POP server's port (most likely 110)
5.Click Save
FTP
Redirecting traffic on port 50 to port 21:
1.From the PortReflector's main screen, click Add
2.In Port: Enter: 50
3.Out Server: Enter the FTP server name (i.e. ftp-dom.earthlink.net)
4.Out Port: Enter 21
5.Click Save
